SISEL GELMAN - Founder
Sisel Gelman was raised in Mexico City and moved to Alaska to write her first novel. Her work has been published over 60 times in magazines like ANGLES Magazine, The Emerson Review, and F News Magazine. Sisel attended the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference during the summer of 2019, she was a finalist for the 2021 Boston Public Library's Writer-In-Residence program, and she was a finalist in the upcoming reality TV show 'America's Next Great Author.' Her writing has been nominated for two EVVY Awards, won first place at the ICPA Awards 2023 & 2024, and the 2025 SAIC MFA Writing Fellowship. You may find her on TikTok at @siselgelman. She holds a BFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College and an MFA in Writing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She is pursuing her MA at the Bread Loaf School of English.
ADRIENNE STRAND - Managing Editor
Adrienne Strand is a creative artist and writer from Stockholm, Sweden. She has a background in fashion, content creation, and media management. Adrienne’s expertise was highlighted while working as an editor with Vulkan Magazine. When she is not building community at SIEVA, she can be found working on her first novel, making music, cooking a lovely meal, or playing with her puppies Frank and Jasper. She is currently living in Los Angeles.
CHARLIE TRIOZZI - Head of Design
Hi! My name is Charlie Triozzi. I am an alumna from Emerson College with a Writing, Literature, and Publishing degree. Some of my favorite pastimes are reading, knitting, graphic design, and hanging out with friends!
BRANDO SMITH - Content Project Manager
Hailing from St. Petersburg, FL, Brando Smith is a writer of dark whimsies and a reader of everything. You can find his work published in Ghostwatch Paranormal Zine and Persephone Literary Magazine. With a B.A. in Media Arts Production from Emerson College, he holds a background in film production, theater, event coordination, and marketing. When he’s not strategizing SIEVA’s social media or working as an assistant to a sales executive, Brando is currently glued to his keyboard writing his first novel.
